
This desk makeover was much needed! I purchased this apartment (my first property) back in August 2021 and I have been waiting to have the money to start renovating. However, I am realising that the big projects are going to take time to save for, there are little things I can do around my home to make it better.
Decorating my desk space and home office was probably the most important place to start; I work from home for my full time job and I am determined to get this blog off the ground so having an inspiring work environment is really important to me.
Declutter Your Desk
As always, I will preach, declutter your desk space before you start your desk makeover. There is a super handy guide on decluttering paperwork here to get you going. Go through everything in your drawers and desktop. There wasn’t much on my desk other than a load of unorganised wires as I had already done this step.


Desk Makeover on a Budget
The budget for this desk makeover was £60 as that is what I had spare this month! I am working with what I already had and what my imagination can design. The desk was a find from Facebook Market back in November. The shelves, I was saving for another project that will probably be another few months away anyway and I am too impatient. How to make your own Neon Sign
Real bespoke neon signs cost a minimum of £400! There is no way I was waiting around to save for that. I purchased some foam core board, a glue gun and a couple of To make the sign, choose a font, print it out on a3 paper, tape it on the board and trace it onto the foam core board.
